In einem Interview von TVG mit dem Co-Gründer von Blizzard, Frank Pearce, gibt es neue Informationen zum Release von Diablo III:

TVG: A lot of people were rumouring that Diablo III could hit in 2011 or 2012…
Colayco: Personally I hope that it’s sooner.

TVG: But StarCraft II would be released before that, wouldn’t it?
Pearce: I wouldn’t assume anything. Certainly, that’s our hope – StarCraft II is ahead of Diablo III in the development cycle.

Offiziell wurde von Activision, der neue Partner von Blizzard, während der Activate Asia Pacific Conference, den Release-Zeitraum von StarCraft 2 von „When it’s done“ auf das Jahr 2009 eingegrenzt. Damit würde das Jahr 2010 prima für Diablo III passen, wenn nichts dazwischen kommt.

Eine Wartezeit von fast 2 Jahren ist natürlich nicht zum Aufspringen vor Freude, aber ich denke mal, das Niemand so richtig an eine Veröffentlichung vor 2010 geglaubt hat. Also sollten wir alle Hoffen, das es bis dahin dann auch klappt.
